Optical fibre carries the full HBR3 rate without the signal degradation that affects passive copper at this length. The cable maintains 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and 2K at 240 Hz continuously, supporting Display Stream Compression 1.2 and Dynamic HDR. Zinc alloy shells and a single Al-Mylar foil shield protect the optical cores from mechanical stress and electromagnetic interference during permanent routing.

DP 1.4 bandwidth ceiling at 32.4 Gbps

The DisplayPort 1.4 interface caps usable throughput at 32.4 Gbps, so resolutions above 8K at 60 Hz or 4K beyond 144 Hz require a newer standard not supported by this cable. Backwards compatibility covers DP 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1 devices, but they operate at their own lower link rates. HDCP 2.2 is supported for protected content playback.
