LUOM TJ-A041 Bi-Directional HDMI 2.1 Switch

The LUOM TJ-A041 is a bi-directional HDMI 2.1 switch designed for users who need to route 8K or high-refresh 4K signals between two sources and one display, or one source and two displays. It suits gamers connecting a PS5 or Xbox Series X to an HDMI 2.1 TV, and professionals toggling a single 8K monitor between two workstations.

Sustained 48 Gbps bandwidth with active power option

The switch maintains 48 Gbps throughput for 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz without compression, supported by a PI3HDX1221 chip rated for 12,000 operations per second. A DC 5 V micro-USB power input is included to stabilise the link when cable runs approach the three-metre per-side limit, preventing signal drop-outs during long sessions.

Check cable lengths and single-display output

Verify that every HDMI cable in the chain is 8K-certified and no longer than three metres on either side of the unit. The switcher only drives one display at a time; it cannot mirror or extend across two screens simultaneously. Ensure your source and sink devices both support HDMI 2.1 to unlock the full 48 Gbps feature set.

Questions about this item

Does the LUOM TJ-A041 run warm or draw noticeable power when left on all day?

The switch uses a PI3HDX1221 chip and includes a DC 5 V power line for stable 48 Gbps operation; it has no fan and draws minimal power in normal use.

What cables and power source do I need before the LUOM TJ-A041 will work?

You need up to two HDMI 2.1 cables (each no longer than 3 metres) and a USB port or 5 V adapter for the included micro-USB power line.

Will the LUOM TJ-A041 pass 4K 120 Hz from my Xbox Series X or PS5 to an older 4K 60 Hz TV?

Yes, it supports 4K@120 Hz and 8K@60 Hz with HDCP 2.2 and 2.3, so it will down-negotiate to the display's maximum refresh rate.
