10 m DisplayPort 1.4 fibre cable

This LUOM TJ-A077 cable uses four-core optical fibre to carry DisplayPort 1.4 signals over a 10 m run without the signal loss common in copper. It supports 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and lower resolutions such as 1080p and 1440p. The hybrid construction combines pure glass fibre with oxygen-free copper for power and auxiliary lines. Gold-plated connectors and a zinc-alloy shell resist corrosion and physical stress.

Check source and display capabilities

Verify that both your graphics card and monitor have DisplayPort 1.4 ports and advertise support for the target resolution and refresh rate. The cable is backward compatible with DP 1.2 equipment but will operate at the lower standard’s limits. Ensure the source device is connected to the marked “Source” end and the display to the “Display” end; the fibre link is directional. No external power adapter is required.

Suits long-run 8K or high-refresh 4K installs

Ideal for home-theatre projectors, in-wall routing or any setup where the display sits far from the PC. Builders needing only short desk-length connections will find standard copper cables simpler and less costly. Users whose hardware tops out at DP 1.2 or HDMI 2.0 will not gain the advertised 8K or 4K 144 Hz performance from this cable.

Questions about this item

Does the 10 m cable come with any adapters or do I need to buy them separately?

The cable has DisplayPort 1.4 male connectors on both ends, so no adapters are included or required for a standard DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort link.

Which resolution and refresh rate combination should I pick for a 32.4 Gbps link?

At the full 32.4 Gbps bandwidth the cable supports 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz; lower rates such as 4K at 60 Hz or 1080p also work.

What does the 32.4 Gbps rating mean when the cable is installed in my PC?

It is the maximum DisplayPort 1.4 bandwidth the hybrid fibre-copper cable can carry, enabling 7680×4320 at 60 Hz or 3840×2160 at 144 Hz without compression.
