Connectivity purpose

This LUOM TJ-A091 cable links a Mini DisplayPort 1.4 source to a full-size DisplayPort 1.4 display. It suits users who connect laptops such as a MacBook Pro or Surface Pro to an external 8K monitor, or who drive a Mini DisplayPort screen from a desktop graphics card. The bi-directional design works in either direction without a separate adapter.

Build and daily handling

Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion while an aluminium shell adds mechanical strength. The 6.6 ft length uses high-quality copper conductors wrapped in a matt PVC and cotton braid that is waterproof and supple for routing around a desk. Male-to-male terminals plug directly into both devices for a secure fit.

Compatibility check

Verify that your source device outputs DisplayPort 1.4 signals over its Mini DisplayPort socket; some USB-C ports only carry alternate-mode video with specific host support. Confirm the target display accepts 8K at 60 Hz or the lower resolution and refresh rate you require. The cable is backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 and 1.2a equipment.
