Mini DP to DP 1.4 cable for laptops and monitors

The LUOM TJ-TDP10 connects a Mini DisplayPort 1.4 source to a full-size DisplayPort 1.4 display. It carries 32.4 Gbps bandwidth and supports resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz, and 2K at 240 Hz. The bi-directional design works from a laptop to a monitor or from a desktop to a Mini DP display.

Gold-plated connectors and braided jacket

Gold-plated plugs resist corrosion and maintain signal integrity over repeated insertions. A triple-layer shield blocks electromagnetic interference for stable video and audio. The nylon braid and matt PVC outer layer add abrasion resistance and a degree of water protection for daily transport.

DisplayPort 1.4 bandwidth ceiling

The 32.4 Gbps limit caps 8K output at 60 Hz with 10-bit colour and DSC compression. Higher refresh rates at 8K or uncompressed 10-bit 8K are not possible over this standard. Thunderbolt 2 ports can carry the signal, but the cable remains bound by the DisplayPort 1.4 link rate.

Questions about this item

Do the gold-plated Mini DisplayPort 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.4 connectors need any periodic cleaning or replacement?

The gold-plated connectors resist corrosion and are rated for repeated insertion cycles; no scheduled cleaning or replacement is required under normal desktop use.

What is the first bandwidth limit reached when running 8K at 60 Hz continuously?

The cable is VESA certified for the full 32.4 Gbps HBR3 bandwidth, so 8K 7680x4320 at 60 Hz 10-bit RGB 4:4:4 stays within the certified limit.

Does the 6.6 ft cotton-braided cable get warm or draw noticeable power during all-day 4K 144 Hz gaming?

As a passive copper cable it draws no external power and generates negligible heat; the triple-layer shielding maintains signal integrity without thermal buildup.
