Purpose-built converter

This LUOM unit converts TVI, CVI, AHD and CVBS security-camera signals over a single BNC input to an HDMI output running at 1080p or 720p at 60 Hz. It is intended for installers and system integrators who need to view analogue-HD camera feeds on standard HDMI monitors or TVs without a dedicated DVR.

Build integration

The converter accepts one BNC channel and provides both an HDMI output and a BNC loop-through so the same camera feed can drive a local monitor and continue to a recorder simultaneously. A 5 V / 1 A power adapter is included, and the device auto-detects incoming resolutions of 720p, 1080p, 3MP, 4MP, 5MP or 8MP for TVI and AHD, or 720p, 1080p, 4MP and 8MP for CVI. Coaxial runs of 500 to 700 metres are supported depending on resolution.

Upgrade path

It replaces the need for a full DVR when only live viewing on an HDMI display is required, and it supersedes older single-format converters that lack loop-through or multi-standard auto-detection. The jump is worthwhile when a project demands simultaneous local monitoring and recording, or when mixed TVI, CVI, AHD and CVBS cameras must share one display infrastructure.
