What this cable does

This LUOM USB4 cable carries data at up to 40 Gbps, delivers up to 240 W of power and drives an 8K display at 60 Hz. It uses a USB‑C male connector at each end and is compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 hosts. The 3.3 ft length suits desktop or bench setups.

Who it suits and who it does not

Creators moving large video libraries, engineers connecting eGPU enclosures and users charging high‑power laptops will benefit from the full 40 Gbps bandwidth and 240 W delivery. Buyers whose devices only support 20 Gbps or lower USB standards will not reach the advertised transfer rate or charging speed.

The specification that decides fit

The cable is certified for USB4 Gen 3×2 operation at 40 Gbps with PD 3.1 240 W (48 V / 5 A) power delivery and 8K@60 Hz video. If your host, charger or display does not support USB4 Gen 3×2 and PD 3.1, the cable will fall back to lower speeds and power levels.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the cable is delivering the full 40Gbps data rate after connecting my devices?

The cable supports up to 40Gbps with USB4 Gen 3x2; actual speed depends on the host port and device capabilities. Use a benchmark tool or large file transfer to confirm throughput matches the rated bandwidth.

What comes in the box and do I need any extra adapters for 240W charging?

The package contains the 3.3ft USB C to USB C cable only. To reach 240W (48V/5A) you must use a PD 3.1 charger and a device that both support the extended power range.

Which version should I choose if I need single 8K@60Hz video and 40Gbps data for an eGPU?

This USB4 Gen 3x2 cable provides 40Gbps bandwidth, enabling single 8K@60Hz (7680×4320) or dual 4K@60Hz output, and is suitable for eGPU and high-speed storage scenarios.
