USB-HID magstripe reader

The MagTek 21040104 reads magnetic stripe cards over a USB-HID link using the standard Windows HID driver. It captures tracks 1 and 2 at speeds from 3 to 60 IPS in either direction. No external power supply is needed because the reader draws power from the USB bus.

Suited for ISO-track applications

This reader suits point-of-sale or access-control systems that need bi-directional reading of ISO 7810 and ISO 7811/AAMVA cards. It is not for environments that require three-track capture, keyboard-emulation output or encrypted head-to-host communication.

Single specification: USB-HID interface
