Cable Tie Tension Tool

The Malco TY6 is a cable tie tension tool built for electricians and installers who secure bundles daily. It accepts nylon ties ranging from .18 to .25 inches wide with tensile strengths of 125 to 175 lb. The metal body and cushion grip handle deliver durability for repetitive professional use.

Integrated Tie Cutter

An integrated cutter trims excess tail flush after tensioning, removing the need for a separate snip. This single-tool workflow reduces hand movements on ladder work or inside panels. The cutter is designed for the specified nylon ties and does not accommodate other materials or widths.

Capacity and Limits

The tool tensions ties rated 125 to 175 lb and up to .25 inches wide, covering standard heavy-duty nylon bundles. It cannot tension ties outside the .18 to .25 inch width range or below the 125 lb strength rating. Users needing stainless steel ties, wider straps or higher tensile ratings require a different tool.

Questions about this item

How long does the metal body and cushion grip last with daily heavy use?

The metal body and cushion grip are built for heavy users of nylon cable ties, so they withstand repeated tensioning and cutting cycles without scheduled replacement.

What cable-tie width stops the tool from tensioning properly?

The gun only accepts nylon ties between .18 and .25 in wide; ties outside that range will not feed or tension correctly.

Does the handle stay comfortable and cool during all-day installation work?

The cushion grip reduces hand fatigue and heat buildup during continuous use, letting you tension and cut ties all day without discomfort.
