Built for jobsites and harsh surfaces

The Marks A Lot UltraDuty XL marker delivers an 18 mm chisel tip that writes on wet, oily, dusty and abrasive materials such as concrete, metal, wood and corrugate. Its polyester tip resists clogging on rough textures. The industrial ink is formulated to resist water, abrasion, smearing and fading. One black marker is included.

Sustained use without drying out

The ink stays fluid for up to 72 hours even when the cap is left off, so the marker remains ready during long shifts or intermittent tasks. The break-resistant tip maintains its shape on coarse surfaces without fraying. Water-resistant pigment keeps marks legible after exposure to moisture and handling.

Check your marking needs before ordering

This single marker suits users who need broad, permanent strokes on difficult substrates. Buyers who need finer lines, multiple colours or a different tip style will not be served by this model. Verify that an 18 mm chisel tip matches the legibility and coverage your application requires.

Questions about this item

How does the 18mm chisel tip hold up when used all day on rough surfaces like concrete or metal?

The durable polyester tip is built for abrasive, wet, dusty and oily surfaces without clogging or breaking, so it keeps writing through extended jobsite use.

Does the marker need any special surface preparation or primer before writing on oily or wet materials?

No, the industrial ink writes directly on wet, oily, greasy and dusty surfaces without any primer or prep required.

If I leave the cap off overnight while switching between this marker and older fine-tip pens, will the ink still flow?

Yes, the ink won't dry out for up to 72 hours uncapped, so it stays ready even after long breaks between uses.
