Purpose and Audience

This spindle contains 25 write-once DVD-R discs, each offering 4.7GB of storage and rated for up to 16X recording speed. It suits anyone needing affordable, single-use media for data backups, video projects or software archives.

Thermal Noise and Power

Optical media produces no heat, noise or power draw of its own; those factors depend entirely on the DVD writer used. The organic dye layer is manufactured for stable performance during the 120-minute recording window at the rated speed.

Spindle and Compatibility

The 25-disc spindle keeps the stack organised and protected from dust or scratches. After burning, each disc is read compatible with current DVD-ROM, DVD-Video and DVD-Audio players as well as general-purpose DVD-R recorders.

Questions about this item

How do I record on these 16X DVD-R discs and what step do people often miss?

Use a DVD-R General recorder set to 16X or lower speed. Finalise the disc after writing or it will not read in standard DVD players.

What maintenance or replacement will these write-once DVD-Rs need later?

No maintenance is required. Each disc is written once; if data must be changed you replace the disc with a fresh one from the 25-pack spindle.

What limit appears first during sustained recording at 16X?

The 120-minute capacity per disc is reached before any speed or thermal limit.
