Scandinavian-inspired pendant

The Maxim Mfg. Oslo 15.75-inch one-light pendant draws on early modern Scandinavian design. A light reveal above the shade and an inner shade reduce glare while creating a distinctive lighting effect. Matte White shades paired with Matte Black tops coordinate with a range of interior colours. The fixture is available in three sizes to suit various counter and dining spaces.

Replacing basic ceiling fixtures

This pendant upgrades plain flush-mount or single-bulb fittings where a focused, decorative light is preferred. The jump is worth it when the room calls for a glare-controlled glow over a counter, island or small dining table. Buyers who need multiple light sources from a single canopy or integrated dimming will not find those features here.

Medium-base socket constraints

The fixture uses a standard medium-base socket, so bulb choice determines output, colour temperature and dimming behaviour. California Proposition 65 warnings apply because the product contains chemicals known to the state to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Installation must follow local electrical codes for pendant mounting.

Questions about this item

What ceiling height and box opening does the 15.75" Oslo pendant require?

The fixture mounts to a standard junction box and includes adjustable chain so the 15.75" shade clears counters or tables at typical ceiling heights.

Which wiring step is most often missed when installing the Oslo pendant?

Connect the fixture ground wire to the supply ground before securing the canopy; skipping this leaves the metal frame ungrounded.

How do I replace the bulb or clean the inner shade on the Oslo pendant?

Unscrew the medium-base bulb from the socket; wipe the Matte White inner shade with a dry microfiber cloth to maintain the glare-reducing effect.
