Wiring And Mounting Requirements

This decorative pendant requires a standard electrical junction box and appropriate wall anchors for secure installation. It needs two compatible bulbs to operate and frees up floor or table space by mounting directly to the wall. The fixture ships directly from the manufacturer ready for hardwired connection.

The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for exposure to a chemical known to the state to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Questions about this item

How does the California Proposition 65 warning affect daily use of the Maxim Mfg. 24621 Rome 2-Light Wall Sconce?

The warning indicates the product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer or reproductive harm; normal handling and installation pose no immediate risk, but wash hands after contact and avoid ingestion.

Does the sconce generate noticeable heat or noise when both lights are on for extended periods?

As a decorative wall sconce with two candle-style lights, it produces minimal heat from the bulbs and operates silently with no moving parts or fan.

What type of electrical box and wiring must already be in place for this fixture to mount and function?

It requires a standard junction box rated for the fixture weight, with live, neutral and ground conductors, plus a compatible wall switch or dimmer circuit.
