Product Identity

The Maxim Mfg. 98410 is a single-light pendant finished in hand-rubbed Natural Aged Brass. Clear heavy glass vessels are supported by a solid brass frame. It suits dining tables, kitchen islands or entry foyers where a warm metallic accent is desired.

Upgrade Context

This fixture replaces dated single-shade pendants or basic builder-grade lights that lack substantial materials. The jump is worth it when the project calls for genuine brass construction and hand-finished patina rather than plated or painted alternatives.

Build Integration

The pendant mounts directly to the canopy or extends using the supplied rods for adjustable drop length. Upward and downward configurations are supported. California Proposition 65 warnings apply for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

What ceiling opening does the canopy for the Maxim 98410 pendant require?

The fixture mounts to a standard junction box; the supplied canopy covers the box opening and no separate cut-out dimension is specified.

Which step is often missed when hanging the Maxim 98410 pendant?

Thread the supplied extension rods onto the fixture stem and secure the set screws before lifting the assembly onto the canopy — skipping this leaves the glass unsupported.

How should the clear glass shades on the Maxim 98410 be cleaned without damaging the Natural Aged Brass finish?

Remove each shade, wash with mild soap and water, dry thoroughly, then reinstall; wipe the brass frame only with a soft dry cloth to preserve the hand-rubbed patina.
