Calyx 2-Light Pendant 24342

The Calyx 2-Light Pendant 24342 is a decorative lighting fixture from Maxim Mfg. featuring black tubing arranged in an organic, bouqueted form. Irregular stem lengths create visual interest while white candle covers and biotic bobeches provide a tailored black-and-white composition. This design suits collectors seeking a nature-inspired aesthetic for interior spaces.

Sustained operation characteristics

The pendant operates as a standard hardwired decorative fixture with two light sources. Under continuous use it behaves like any fixed interior lighting installation, delivering consistent illumination without active cooling or moving parts. No performance degradation or thermal throttling occurs because the design relies on passive heat dissipation through the open structure.

Installation notes and common issues

Installation follows standard pendant mounting procedures for hardwired ceiling fixtures. The irregular stem lengths require careful alignment during hanging to achieve the intended organic silhouette. An accompanying ADA compliant wall sconce is available separately for corridor applications, though the pendant itself is not rated for wall mounting. California Proposition 65 warnings apply regarding chemical content.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the Calyx 2-Light Pendant 24342 produce when left on all day?

LED bulbs run cool, so the black tubing and white candle covers stay near room temperature even after hours of use.

What electrical fitting must already be in the ceiling for the Calyx 2-Light Pendant 24342 to install?

A standard junction box rated for the fixture weight and two live circuits is required before mounting.

Will the Calyx 2-Light Pendant 24342 work with the dimmer switch already on my dining-room circuit?

Yes, provided the dimmer is rated for LED loads and the two bulbs you choose are marked dimmable.
