Two cables for wired networking

This Maximm Cat 6 pack supplies two 25 ft cables for connecting computers, routers, switches, printers, NAS boxes or streaming devices to a local area network. Each cable uses UTP construction with a cross separator to limit crosstalk and gold-plated RJ45 connectors for reliable contact. The white PVC jacket is lightweight and heat resistant.

UTP design with snagless boots

Unshielded twisted-pair wiring and 24AWG copper-clad aluminum conductors handle up to 550 MHz bandwidth and 10Gbps data rates over the installed length. Molded snagless boots protect the latch during routing through tight spaces, while strain relief reduces stress on the connector terminations. No external power or configuration is required.

Replaces older Cat 5 or Cat 5e runs

Builders upgrading from 100 MHz or 1000BASE-T links gain headroom for 10GBASE-T where switch ports support it. The jump is worth it when cable runs must carry multi-gigabit traffic or when existing cables show wear, but the pair adds no benefit for purely wireless clients or for segments that never exceed 1 Gbps.
