Physical Release for PS5

Them's Fightin' Herds Deluxe Edition arrives as a physical PlayStation 5 game from Maximum Games. The boxed version brings the 2D fighting title to console owners who prefer disc-based media. It carries an ESRB E10+ rating suitable for players aged ten and older.

Platform and Online Limits

The game runs only on PlayStation 5 hardware and requires the console for all local and online play. Online matchmaking uses GGPO rollback netcode, so a stable internet connection is necessary for cross-region matches. No other platforms are supported by this edition.

Cartridge Build and Daily Use

The disc ships in a standard PS5 case designed for shelf storage and repeated handling. Insert the disc to install and launch the game; the console reads the licence directly from the media. Physical ownership means no digital storefront dependency for access.

Questions about this item

What comes in the Deluxe Edition that the standard version does not?

The Deluxe Edition includes the base game on PlayStation 5 disc plus all previously released downloadable characters and cosmetic packs in one physical package.

How does the four-button control scheme work in actual matches?

Four attack buttons handle light, medium, heavy and magic inputs; a dedicated super meter and juggle decay system prevent infinite combos while keeping execution accessible.

Does the PlayStation 5 disc require an internet connection to play?

Story mode, local versus, tutorials and replay review all work offline; only online matchmaking and leaderboards need a live connection.
