Styx: Shard of Darkness for Xbox One

Styx: Shard of Darkness is a stealth action game for Xbox One starring the goblin assassin Styx. Players infiltrate the Dark Elves' city of Korrangar using vertical traversal, cloning abilities and environmental tools. The retail release includes the Akenash Set DLC, adding an iconic outfit and a parasite-covered dagger that turn corpses into smoke traps and extend clone duration.

Sequel improvements over Master of Shadows

This entry moves to Unreal Engine 4 and expands on the original with a bigger budget, deeper narrative and new mechanics such as grappling, rope climbing and zip-wire knife traversal. The jump is worth it for fans who wanted larger levels, more enemy variety and refined movement options that the first game lacked.

Physical Xbox One disc constraints

The game ships on a standard Xbox One disc that requires installation to the console's hard drive before play. An internet connection is needed for the initial day-one patch and to redeem the included Akenash Set DLC code. Offline play is possible after installation and redemption, but the disc must remain in the drive for verification.
