Broadband 890-960 MHz Yagi

The Maxrad BMOY8905 is a 5-element Yagi antenna built for the 890-960 MHz band. It serves installers and system integrators who need a single model to cover the full 800/900 MHz range without field tuning. The broadband design minimises inventory and cuts installation time on fixed wireless links.

Sealed driven element and powder coat

A fully sealed driven element protects the feed point from humidity, acid rain and salt spray. The antenna uses a black polyester powder coating over a seamless aluminium boom. Solid 3/8 inch elements are attached with 360 welds at the boom interface to lock out moisture.

Vertical or horizontal polarisation

A solid aluminium mounting bracket allows the antenna to be mounted for either vertical or horizontal polarisation. The type N termination sits at the end of the boom for a clean cable run. The rugged construction is rated for all-weather durability in permanent outdoor installations.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the BMOY8905 and set the polarization correctly?

Use the solid aluminum mounting bracket supplied with the antenna; it allows either vertical or horizontal polarization depending on how you orient the bracket on the mast.

What part of the BMOY8905 is most likely to need attention after years outdoors?

The black polyester powder coating and the 360 welds at the element-to-boom joints protect the internal mechanism from moisture, so degradation of that coating is the first thing to inspect.

At what point does the BMOY8905 stop covering the band I need?

The antenna is specified for 890-960 MHz; sustained operation outside that range will fall beyond its broadband design and performance will drop off.
