Commercial-Grade Mortise Entry Lock

The MAXTECH 1033BF26DL is a heavy-duty mortise lockset designed for commercial, institutional, industrial and residential entry doors. It features a left-hand configuration with a 2-3/4 inch backset and an entrance function operated by an exterior cylinder and interior thumb turn. The solid brass construction ensures durability for high-traffic applications.

Satin Chrome Finish Durability

The lockset presents solid satin chrome plates and a wide 1-1/4 by 8 inch face plate that resists wear in daily use. Through-bolted screwless knobs provide a clean appearance while maintaining a secure mechanical bond through the door thickness. The scissor latch and anti-friction latch combination delivers smooth, reliable operation without binding.

Included Brass Cylinder and Keys

A solid brass cylinder comes standard with two keys keyed different for immediate security setup. The screwless knob design eliminates exposed mounting hardware on the trim, simplifying the finished look. No additional accessories or software are bundled with this mechanical lockset.

Questions about this item

How do I install the thru-bolted screwless knobs on this mortise lockset, and what step is often missed?

Fit the mortise body into the 2-3/4" backset pocket, attach the 1-1/4" x 8" face plate, then secure both knobs through the door using the thru-bolts; the step often missed is aligning the spindle and thumb-turn orientation for the left-hand function before tightening the bolts.

What maintenance or replacement will the scissor latch and anti-friction latch need over time?

Periodic lubrication of the scissor latch and anti-friction latch with a dry graphite or PTFE spray keeps operation smooth; the solid brass cylinder and two keys rarely need replacement unless keys are lost or the cylinder is damaged.

What is the first limit that appears under sustained heavy-duty use of this commercial-grade lockset?

The 1" deadbolt throw and scissor-latch mechanism are built for high-cycle commercial traffic; the first limit is typically gradual wear on the anti-friction latch surfaces, which can be mitigated with regular lubrication.
