Solid Brass Rim Cylinder
The Maxtech 50221 is a solid brass rim cylinder with a 1-1/16" diameter and an SC1 Schlage keyway. It is designed as a direct replacement for jimmy-proof locks found on residential and light commercial doors. The cylinder ships keyed different with two keys included.
Satin Chrome Finish and Adjustable Tail
A 26D satin chrome coating protects the brass body from corrosion and daily wear. The adjustable tail length lets installers match the cylinder depth to existing hardware without modification. This compatibility covers most standard jimmy-proof lock bodies on the market.
Two Keys and Re-keyable Core
Two cut keys are supplied in the box so the lock works immediately after fitting. The five-pin tumbler core can be re-keyed by a locksmith to match other SC1 cylinders in the same building. No additional hardware or mounting screws are included.

Questions about this item
What keyway does the 50221 rim cylinder use and which keys will it accept?
It uses the SC1 Schlage keyway and includes two keys cut to that profile.
What door thickness and mounting style does the 1-1/16" cylinder suit?
The 1-1/16" length fits standard jimmy-proof rim locks and the adjustable tail accommodates common door thicknesses.
How is the cylinder installed and which step is often missed?
Remove the old cylinder, insert the new one through the door face, secure the mounting screws, then adjust the tail length so the deadbolt throws fully — skipping the tail adjustment prevents the bolt from engaging.
