36 W power delivery and 480 Mbps data

The built-in PD chip supports up to 36 W output, reaching roughly 30 % charge in 15 minutes when paired with a compatible PD cable. Data moves at 480 Mbps between the iOS device and a computer, but the adapter does not handle OTG video, audio or headphone connections.

USB-C female to Lightning male interface limits

The connector works only with USB-C sources that supply 20 V and with Lightning devices listed in the compatibility range. It cannot transfer data to peripherals other than a computer, and it does not support alternate modes such as video output or external storage access.
