Compact 5-in-1 USB-C hub

The MCHOSE hub adds HDMI 2.1 video, two USB-A data ports, 100 W USB-C power-delivery pass-through and Gigabit Ethernet to a single USB-C connection. It is built for users who need an external display, wired networking and peripheral expansion from one compact adapter.

Suits laptops, tablets

The hub requires a USB-C port that carries DisplayPort Alt Mode, USB4 or Thunderbolt video to drive the HDMI output. Devices whose USB-C ports support only charging or data cannot use the video function, so buyers with those ports should look at a non-video adapter instead.

HDMI 2.1 output up to 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz

The single HDMI 2.1 port delivers 8K resolution at 30 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz when the host, cable and display all support the required bandwidth. On macOS the maximum is 4K at 60 Hz regardless of the hub capability.

Questions about this item

Does the hub stay cool and quiet when driving a 4K@120Hz display all day?

The hub has no fan and draws power from the host port; typical operation is silent and warm to the touch under full 4K@120Hz load.

What host port must my laptop already have for video and 100W charging to work?

A USB-C port with DP Alt Mode video output and USB Power Delivery input is required for both the HDMI 2.1 signal and 100W pass-through charging.

Will my older Thunderbolt 3 dock or monitor limit the 4K@120Hz signal from this hub?

The hub is compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and 5 hosts; on Thunderbolt 3 the video link negotiates to the host's maximum, typically 4K@60Hz.
