Digital TV converter for analog displays

The Mediasonic iView 3300STB ATSC converter box receives over-the-air digital broadcasts and converts them for analog televisions or computer monitors. It also supports ClearQAM for unscrambled cable channels. The unit includes a built-in digital clock and program-saving function for recording TV shows. A USB 2.0 port enables media playback of videos, music and photos from portable drives up to 4 TB.

Compact chassis with dual USB ports

The converter measures 14.33 inches wide, 12.83 inches high and 9.06 inches deep. Two USB 2.0 female connectors are provided on the front for attaching storage devices. The plastic jacketed housing is designed for shelf placement near the display. No internal fan is mentioned, so operation is silent in typical living-room use.

Low-power operation with external adapter

Power is supplied through an external adapter, keeping the main unit cool and noise-free during normal viewing or recording. The firmware can be updated by contacting iView technical support to resolve issues and improve performance. The device is intended only for the USA, Canada and Mexico region.
