Portable CD Boombox with Bluetooth

The MEGATEK CB-M25BT-BLUE Blue Jay boombox combines a top-loading CD player, digital FM radio and Bluetooth streaming in one compact unit. It plays standard CDs, CD-R/RW discs and MP3 or WMA data discs, plus files from USB drives up to 128 GB. Dual 3 inch front-firing speakers deliver stereo sound with five selectable EQ modes. Simple controls and a backlit LCD make operation straightforward for home, shop or travel use.

Build quality and daily connections

The enclosure measures 30 x 24 x 13.5 cm and weighs 2.72 lb, so it moves easily between rooms or outdoors. A 3.5 mm AUX input and a matching headphone jack sit on the front panel for wired sources and private listening. USB playback supports FAT32 drives only, with shuffle, repeat and resume functions. Power comes from the included AC adapter or four C batteries (not included), with alkaline cells recommended for best runtime.

What this replaces and when to upgrade

This unit replaces a separate CD player, radio and Bluetooth speaker, consolidating three devices into one portable box. The jump is worth it when you want physical-disc playback, local radio and wireless streaming without juggling multiple power cords or remotes. Buyers who need AM reception, a remote control or a built-in cassette deck will not find those features here.

Questions about this item

Does the Bluetooth connection on the CB-M25BT-BLUE only receive audio from phones and tablets?

Yes, the Bluetooth function is receive-only for wireless playback from smartphones, tablets or laptops; it has no transmitter mode to send audio to external speakers or headphones.

What are the exact dimensions I need to allow on a shelf for the 30 x 24 x 13.5 cm boombox?

Reserve a space at least 30 cm wide, 24 cm deep and 13.5 cm tall; the top-loading CD door also needs clearance above the unit to open fully.

How do I power the CB-M25BT-BLUE with batteries, and what mistake should I avoid?

Insert four C-size alkaline cells into the bottom compartment observing the polarity markings; the common error is using rechargeable or zinc-carbon batteries, which cannot deliver enough current for the dual 3-inch speakers.
