Speaker Plates for Sprinter Front Doors

This pair of Metra 82-8700 speaker plates is designed for 2014 and newer Mercedes and Freightliner Sprinter vans. They mount in the front door speaker locations and accept 5.25 inch drivers. The black finish matches the factory interior trim. Installers can replace worn panels without modifying the door structure.

Suited for Direct-Fit Sprinter Upgrades

The plates suit owners replacing factory speakers with aftermarket 5.25 inch units in the front doors. Vehicles outside the 2014-up Sprinter range cannot use these plates. Buyers needing a different speaker diameter or a rear-door mounting location should look elsewhere.

5.25 Inch Cutout Decides Fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 5.25 inch speaker cutout. Your replacement drivers must match this diameter exactly. If your chosen speakers are larger or smaller, these plates will not work.

Questions about this item

Does the Metra 82-8700 kit include the 5.25 inch speakers or only the mounting plates?

The package contains a pair of black speaker plates designed for the front doors; the 5.25 inch speakers themselves must be purchased separately.

Is the 82-8700 the correct plate for a 2014 Sprinter front door, or do I need a different version?

This model 82-8700 is made specifically for 2014-up Sprinter front door locations, so no other version is required for that fitment.

Will a standard 5.25 inch speaker bolt straight onto these plates without extra adapters?

Yes, each plate accommodates a 5.25 inch speaker directly in the factory front door opening of the Sprinter.
