Replacement Pocket for 1995-2001 GM Trucks

This ABS plastic pocket replaces the factory cassette or single CD player in 1995-2001 GM trucks and SUVs. It provides a useful storage area after the original component is removed. The pocket is designed for a precise, gapless fit against the dash. It matches the factory dash colour and texture.

Designed for Metra 99-3002 Dash Kit

The pocket is built specifically for use with the Metra 99-3002 dash kit. It snaps into that kit to complete the installation when the separate factory player is deleted. No other accessories or software are included in the package. The pocket itself is the only item supplied.

Simple Snap-In Installation

Installation requires snapping the pocket into the compatible Metra 99-3002 dash kit. The precision tolerances aim to eliminate gaps between the pocket and the dash. Fitment issues usually arise if the correct dash kit for the specific vehicle year is not used. Verify the application list before starting.

Questions about this item

Will the ABS plastic pocket need any maintenance or replacement after years of daily use in a truck cab?

The high-grade ABS plastic pocket is a passive storage piece with no moving parts or electronics, so it does not require scheduled maintenance or replacement under normal cabin conditions.

What is the first fitment limit I will hit if I try to install this pocket in a vehicle outside the listed GM trucks and SUVs?

The pocket is engineered to snap into the Metra 99-3002 dash kit only; it will not align or lock correctly in any other dash opening or kit.

Does the painted pocket add any heat, noise or electrical draw when the vehicle runs all day?

No — the pocket contains no powered components, generates no heat, makes no noise and draws zero electrical current.
