What it is and who it’s for

This Metra exterior-care towel is a 25 by 36 inch waffle-weave microfiber cloth designed for drying vehicles after washing. It suits owners of cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs and boats who want a single large towel to cover big panels quickly.

The deciding spec

The towel uses a 70/30 premium microfiber blend with a waffle-weave texture that traps water in its grooves for high absorption. Soft-banded silk edges prevent scratches on clear coat, glass, chrome and plastic surfaces.

Thermals noise and power

As a passive drying cloth it generates no heat, makes no sound and draws no power. Normal use consists of laying the towel on wet surfaces or dabbing to absorb liquid without rubbing.

Questions about this item

How much surface can the 36 by 25 inch towel cover in one pass?

The towel measures 36 inches by 25 inches, giving a large drying area that reduces the number of passes needed on hoods, roofs or truck beds.

What does the 70/30 microfiber blend mean for absorbency?

The 70/30 blend creates a premium microfiber that holds large amounts of water and releases it quickly, so the waffle weave traps liquid in one dab rather than requiring heavy buffing.

Will the .39 inch thickness and silk-banded edges fit in a standard detailing bucket?

At just .39 inches thick, the towel folds compactly into any detailing bucket, and the soft silk-banded edges prevent snagging on bucket rims or other tools.
