Product and Purpose

Metra Grey Microfiber Shop Towels come in a pack of 50 cloths measuring 11.5 by 11.5 inches. The 87 percent polyester and 13 percent polyamide blend traps dust, grease and fluid spills without leaving lint or streaks on paintwork, glass or tools.

Who Benefits and Who Does Not

Detailers and mechanics who want reusable, machine-washable cloths for daily wiping, polishing and spill cleanup will appreciate the reinforced edges and quick drying. Buyers who need larger 16 by 12 inch towels or colour-coded packs for separate tasks should look at something else.

Installation and Common Issues

Each towel is ready to use straight from the pack; simply toss used cloths into the washing machine and tumble dry without fabric softener. The most common issue is reduced absorbency if softener residue coats the fibres, so skip the softener to maintain performance.

Questions about this item

What surface or tool must I have ready before using these 11.5-inch grey microfiber towels?

You only need the surface you plan to clean — paint, glass, chrome, plastic or machinery — because the 87 percent polyester and 13 percent polyamide cloths trap dust, grease and fluid spills on contact.

Will these 50-count towels still perform if I keep using my older cotton shop rags for heavy grease?

Yes. The microfiber towels absorb oil and grime without tearing, so they complement cotton rags; use cotton for bulk removal, then finish with these lint-free cloths for a streak-free shine.

How can I confirm the towels are working as intended after the first wash and dry cycle?

After machine washing and tumble drying, the reinforced edges should show no fraying, the 11.5 by 11.5 inch dimensions should hold, and the cloths should still absorb liquid instantly without leaving lint.
