What this tablet is and who it is for

The Mi Pad 6S Pro is a 12.4 inch Android 14 tablet with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. It runs on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and an IPS LCD display running at 144Hz with HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The factory unlocked unit has no SIM slot and relies on Wi-Fi 802.11 for connectivity.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This device suits users who want a large high refresh rate screen for media and multitasking with ample memory and UFS 4.0 storage. Buyers who need cellular data on the go or a memory card slot for expansion cannot use this model. The lack of a 3.5mm jack also means wired headphones require an adapter.

Installation ease and common pitfalls

Setup follows the standard Android 14 HyperOS flow so most owners finish in minutes. The magnetic stylus attaches to the side for charging and pairing without cables. A frequent issue is forgetting that the 512GB capacity is fixed because there is no card slot. Another is discovering the six speaker array still needs compatible apps for full 24-bit 192kHz output.

Questions about this item

Does the Mi Pad 6S Pro 12.4" need a separate SIM card for mobile data?

No, the tablet has no SIM slot and connects only via Wi-Fi 802.11, so mobile data is not supported.

Will my existing USB-C headphones work with the 12.4" tablet's audio port?

The tablet lacks a 3.5 mm jack, so analog headphones need a USB-C adapter or you can use the six built-in stereo speakers.

How can I confirm the 144 Hz display is active after setup?

Open the display settings and set the refresh rate to 144 Hz; smooth motion in supported apps confirms it is running.
