Poco X5 Pro 5G 6.67" AMOLED 120Hz

The Poco X5 Pro 5G is an unlocked smartphone with a 6.67 inch AMOLED display running at 120Hz. It ships with Android 12 and MIUI 14, powered by the Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset. The 8GB RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage configuration suits users who want a responsive mid-range device without carrier restrictions.

108MP triple camera and Dolby Vision display

The 108MP main sensor captures high-resolution images while the AMOLED panel supports 1 billion colours, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ for vivid video playback. Dual SIM standby lets you manage two numbers on one handset. The 5000mAh battery provides extended usage between charges.

No microSD slot and IP53 ingress protection

Internal storage cannot be expanded because there is no card slot, so buyers needing more than 256GB should look elsewhere. The IP53 rating only guards against dust and light splashes, not full water immersion. 5G connectivity depends on local band support for frequencies such as n77 and n78.

Questions about this item

Will the 5000 mAh battery need replacement after a couple of years of daily charging?

The 5000 mAh cell is sealed inside the Gorilla Glass 5 front and plastic frame; replacing it requires professional disassembly and is not user-serviceable.

What limits the Snapdragon 778G 5G during long gaming sessions?

Sustained load on the octa-core CPU and Adreno 642L GPU is throttled by the phone’s passive cooling and the 7.9 mm thin chassis.

How warm and loud does the handset get when the 120 Hz AMOLED runs all day?

The display reaches 900 nits in HBM mode while the plastic back stays warm but silent; no fan exists, so heat dissipates through the frame.
