Outlet-saving extension cords

This four-pack of short extension cords measures eight inches each and uses 16 AWG copper wire rated for 13 amps at 125 volts. The straight-blade NEMA 5-15P plugs and 5-15R receptacles let bulky adapters sit side by side without blocking adjacent outlets. ETL and cETL listing confirms compliance with North American safety standards. The vinyl jacket resists moisture, abrasion and sunlight exposure for durable indoor use.

Practical limits of the 13 A rating

Each cord handles up to 13 amps at 125 volts, so the combined load of all devices plugged into a single cord must stay below that threshold. The 16 AWG conductors are sized for this rating; exceeding it can cause overheating despite the high-temperature PVC insulation. Daisy-chaining multiple cords does not increase the available current and adds connection resistance. The eight-inch length minimises voltage drop but offers no extra reach beyond tight outlet spacing.

Check your existing setup before ordering

Verify that your power strip or wall receptacle uses standard NEMA 5-15 sockets so the 5-15P plugs will seat fully. Confirm the total draw of attached equipment stays within 13 amps per cord and within the strip’s own breaker rating. Ensure there is physical clearance for the short cords to lie flat without strain on the plug blades. These cords are not rated for outdoor or wet-location use despite the moisture-resistant jacket.

Questions about this item

Is the 8‑inch length the only option in this 4‑pack, or are other lengths sold together?

This 4‑pack contains four identical 8‑inch cords; other lengths are sold separately, not bundled here.

What does the 13 A / 125 V rating allow me to run safely on one cord?

Each cord handles up to 13 amps at 125 volts, so it can power typical household devices such as chargers, lamps or small appliances within that limit.

The plug is listed as NEMA 5‑15P / 5‑15R — what does that mean for compatibility?

Both ends use the standard North American 3‑prong 5‑15 configuration, so the cord fits ordinary wall outlets and power‑strip sockets without adapters.
