  • RoHS compliant and UL/ETL verified to EIA/TIA standards for quality assurance

Product identity

This is a 1000ft bulk roll of Category 5e plenum-rated Ethernet cable with solid 24 AWG copper conductors. The gray jacket meets CMP fire-safety requirements for installation in air-handling spaces. Unshielded twisted-pair construction supports data rates up to 1 Gbps and 350 MHz bandwidth.

Who this suits

Professional installers and structured-cabling projects that need fire-code compliant cable for plenum pathways will find this roll convenient. The pull-box packaging simplifies long runs through ceilings and ducts. Buyers who require shielded cable for high-EMI environments or bandwidth beyond 350 MHz should consider other options.

Deciding specification

The plenum CMP rating is the single attribute that determines whether this cable can be used in a given building project. Without it, the cable cannot legally be installed in air-return spaces regardless of its electrical performance.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum bandwidth the 24 AWG solid copper conductors can handle under sustained load?

The cable is rated for up to 350 MHz bandwidth, supporting gigabit speeds over its full length.

Does the plenum-rated jacket add noticeable heat or stiffness when the cable runs continuously in an air-handling space?

The low-smoke CMP jacket meets fire-code requirements without changing operating temperature or flexibility during all-day use.

What termination hardware is needed to connect this bulk cable to keystone jacks or patch panels?

Standard CAT5e-rated keystone jacks or patch panels accept the 24 AWG solid conductors; use a punch-down tool for reliable connections.
