Connect DVI-I Dual Link Displays

This six-foot cable carries both digital and analogue signals through a male-to-male DVI-I Dual Link connector. It links a PC or Mac to flat-panel displays, digital CRT monitors, projectors and HDTVs that accept a DVI input. The gold-plated contacts resist corrosion and maintain reliable conductivity over repeated connections. All materials comply with the RoHS directive.

Dual Link Bandwidth and Signal Limits

The dual-link interface supports resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 at a maximum data rate of 9.9 Gbps. Single-link DVI ports cannot pass this bandwidth, so the display and source must both implement the dual-link pinout. Analogue VGA signals are also carried, but only through a passive adapter on a DVI-I socket; a DVI-D only port will not transmit the analogue pins. Cable length is fixed at six feet, which may restrict placement in larger installations.

Fixed Six-Foot Length

The cable measures exactly six feet from connector to connector and cannot be shortened or extended without adding couplers that may degrade signal integrity.
