Snapdragon X Elite laptop for AI workloads

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 ZGZ-00001 pairs a 12-core Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor with 16 GB of memory and a 512 GB SSD. It runs Windows 11 Pro and targets business users who want on-device AI acceleration in a 13.8-inch touchscreen clamshell. Platinum finish and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 complete the package.

Clamshell form factor with soldered memory

The device arrives fully assembled as a traditional clamshell notebook, so there are no internal slots to populate and no memory upgrades possible after purchase. Installation is limited to unboxing, connecting the power adapter and completing the Windows 11 Pro setup wizard. The sealed chassis means storage cannot be swapped without specialist tools.

20-hour battery rating for all-day mobility

Microsoft quotes up to 20 hours of battery run time on the 13.8-inch 2304 x 1536 PixelSense display. That figure is the single spec that decides whether the laptop can cover a full working day away from a socket. Buyers who need more endurance should look elsewhere.
