13.8" Copilot+ laptop for on-device AI

The Surface Laptop 7th Edition ZGM-00037 runs Windows 11 Home on a 10-core Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus processor with 16GB of memory. A 512GB SSD stores the operating system and files. The 13.8-inch touchscreen supports 10-point multi-touch and a 3:2 aspect ratio. Buyers who need discrete graphics or upgradeable memory should look elsewhere.

Thermals noise and power in daily use

The 39W power supply ships in the box for charging the integrated battery. An anodized aluminium casing acts as the primary thermal surface for the Snapdragon X Plus and Adreno GPU. No fan specifications or acoustic figures are provided by the supplier.

2304 x 1536 120Hz display decides fit

The screen delivers 201 PPI at a 1400:1 contrast ratio with dynamic refresh up to 120Hz. Dolby Vision IQ, sRGB and Vivid colour profiles plus individual factory calibration cover colour-critical work. If a higher resolution or different aspect ratio is required, this panel will not match the workflow.

Questions about this item

How is the 39W power supply connected to the laptop and what port should I use?

The 39W power supply connects via the Surface Connect port on the right side of the chassis. The step people get wrong is forcing the magnetic connector upside down — align the narrow edge first, then let the magnets seat it.

Which component will need replacement first, the 512GB SSD or the 16GB RAM?

The 512GB SSD is the only user-replaceable storage component; the 16GB RAM is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded or swapped later.

At what point does the 120Hz dynamic refresh rate drop under sustained workloads?

The display reduces its refresh rate below 120Hz when the ambient color sensor detects lower light levels or when battery saver mode activates to conserve power.
