15-inch Snapdragon X2 Elite laptop

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 8 EP2-60701 is a 15-inch Copilot+ PC built around the Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite processor. It ships with 32 GB of memory and a 512 GB solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed. The device weighs 5.3 lbs and includes a webcam plus Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.

Touchscreen upgrade from non-touch

The 3270 x 2180 PixelSense display adds touch input and a sharp 15-inch canvas. The step up makes sense when you need pen or finger interaction for annotation, design review or presentations. If your workflow stays in traditional keyboard-and-mouse apps without touch, the extra screen technology adds cost without daily benefit.

32 GB memory and 512 GB storage for demanding

The 32 GB configuration handles heavy browser loads, virtual machines and large creative projects without paging. The 512 GB drive holds the operating system, applications and a working media library. Users who keep extensive local video archives or multiple large game installs will reach capacity faster and should plan for external or cloud expansion.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the 15" chassis so I can confirm it fits my sleeve?

The 15-inch model weighs 5.3 lbs; Microsoft does not publish the millimetre dimensions for this EP2-60701 unit.

How do I perform a clean install of Windows 11 Pro on the Snapdragon X2 Elite system?

Boot from a USB recovery drive created on another Windows 11 PC, choose Custom install, and select the internal 512 GB drive; the ARM-based Snapdragon X2 Elite requires the Windows 11 ARM image.

Which components can be upgraded or replaced after purchase?

Memory is soldered at 32 GB and storage is not user-replaceable; only the Surface Connect charger and USB-C peripherals can be swapped later.
