The Middle Atlantic UCPB1 is a 3U black blanking panel designed for standard server racks and cabinets. It fills unused rack space to maintain proper airflow management in data centres and network closets. Thermal airflow management

By covering empty rack units the panel prevents hot exhaust air from recirculating into cold intake zones. This passive approach supports consistent inlet temperatures without adding fan noise or power draw. The flat black finish absorbs minimal radiant heat in dense installations. Installations that require active cooling or ducted airflow need separate fan trays or ducted panels.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous operation the panel remains structurally stable and does not deform under normal rack temperatures. Its fixed position means performance does not degrade over time unlike movable baffles or brush strips. The panel contributes no acoustic signature and draws zero power regardless of how long the rack runs. Environments with seismic or vibration requirements must verify mounting hardware separately.
