Questions about this item

Will the zinc plating on these 60232 welded rings wear off and need replacement?

The zinc plating provides corrosion resistance, but exposure to moisture and road salt will gradually degrade it, so inspect rings periodically and replace any showing significant rust or pitting.

What load limit will these 1/4" steel rings reach first during continuous towing?

The 1/4" diameter steel cross-section determines the working load limit; sustained tension near that rating will cause permanent stretch before the welds yield.

Do the rings generate heat or noise when used all day on a trailer?

Static steel rings produce no heat or noise themselves; any sound comes from chain or shackle movement against the ring surface during travel.
