Mikrotik S+AO0005 5m SFP+ 10Gbps active optical cable

Cable type and reach

This is a 5m SFP+ active optical cable rated for 10Gbps links. It connects two SFP or SFP+ ports directly without separate transceivers. The assembly is built for very short runs inside a rack or between adjacent racks.

Active optical construction

The cable uses active optics rather than passive copper, so it supports the full 10Gbps rate over the 5m length. It is compatible with Mikrotik devices that have SFP/SFP+ ports, including the RB4011 series, which cannot use the passive direct attach models S+DA0001 and S+DA0003.

Suitable for short-range 10Gbps links

Network engineers who need a low-cost 10Gbps interconnect up to 5m will find this cable a fit. Buyers who require longer runs, higher speeds, or compatibility with non-SFP+ interfaces should look at other media types.
