What this UPS is and who it serves

The MINUTEMAN EN750G Enspire-G is a 750VA 450W standby UPS that delivers 120V AC output from a 120V AC supply. It provides ten NEMA 5-15R outlets, five of which supply battery-backed power and surge protection while the other five offer surge-only protection. The unit fits desktop, floor or wall mounting and includes a five-foot right-angle input cord.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This UPS suits home-office or small-business users who need brief ride-through for a workstation, router and modem during short outages. It supplies four minutes at full load or twelve minutes at half load. Buyers who need longer runtime for servers, network-attached storage or multiple monitors should look at higher-capacity units. Environments outside the 0°C to 40°C operating range or non-120V mains are not supported.

Installation ease and common pitfalls

The compact case and right-angle plug simplify placement on a desk, shelf or wall bracket. Connect the USB cable to enable monitoring software and use the alarm silencer if audible alerts become disruptive. The replaceable battery uses the BM00xx series; only that part number is compatible. Overloading the battery-backed outlets beyond 450W will trip the input circuit breaker and cut power to those outlets.

Questions about this item

Do I need a NEMA 5-15R wall receptacle for the EN750G right-angle plug?

Yes, the input connection is a NEMA 5-15P right-angle plug that requires a matching NEMA 5-15R wall outlet.

Will the five surge-only NEMA 5-15R outlets still protect my older peripherals if the UPS battery is depleted?

Yes, those five outlets provide surge protection independently of the battery-backed outlets.

How can I confirm the EN750G is supplying battery power during a blackout?

The LED status indicators and the LED lighting bar change state, and the battery function alarms sound to show battery operation.
