Purpose and audience

The Mitsubishi XD250U is a DLP business projector built for professional presentations and classroom use. Its 2700-lumen output and 7.3-pound weight make it practical for mobile professionals who move between meeting rooms. The 10W internal speaker adds convenient audio without extra equipment.

Deciding specification

Native resolution is 1024 x 768, so the projector shows XGA content pixel-for-pixel. It accepts 1080i and 720p signals but downscales them to the native grid. Buyers who need true 1080p or higher native detail should look elsewhere.

Capacity and headroom

At 33 inches the unit throws a 60-inch image, covering small to mid-size rooms with 2000:1 contrast. BrilliantColor processing boosts colour brightness by 50 percent. LAN control supports 350-character messages for multi-room management. In large venues or bright daylight the 2700-lumen lamp will reach its limit.
