Compact DLP projector for classrooms

The Mitsubishi XD250U-G is a new DLP business projector rated at 2700 ANSI lumens with a native 1024 x 768 resolution. Weighing 7.3 lbs and measuring 12.6 by 4.1 by 9.3 inches, it is designed for portable or fixed installation in teaching environments. A 10-watt speaker and BrilliantColor six-segment colour wheel support clear audio and colour reproduction.

Check inputs and mounting before ordering

Verify that your source devices can output 1024 x 768 or 1080i signals compatible with the projector's native resolution and HD video mode. Confirm the throw distance suits your room layout and that a suitable mount or shelf can support the unit's weight and dimensions. Ensure network infrastructure is available if you plan to use the Visual PA broadcasting feature across multiple rooms.

Replaces older SVGA classroom projectors

This unit upgrades from lower-brightness SVGA models by delivering 2700 lumens and a 2000:1 contrast ratio for clearer images in lit rooms. The jump is worth it when you need networked multi-room control via Visual PA or ProjectorView Global+ software. It is not for buyers who need native 1080p or 4K resolution, HDMI-only connectivity, or lamp life beyond 6000 hours in eco mode.

Questions about this item

Does the projector come with a DisplayPort-to-HDMI cable or must I buy one separately?

The bundle includes a DisplayPort-to-HDMI cable so you can connect an HDMI source straight out of the box.

Should I choose the 2700-lumen model or a brighter version for a lit classroom?

At 2700 ANSI lumens this unit is rated for typical classroom lighting; brighter models exist but are not in this listing.

Will the native 1024x768 resolution look sharp when I feed it a 1080i signal?

The projector accepts 1080i and scales it to the 1024x768 DLP chip, so the image fits the panel but is not pixel-for-pixel 1080p.
