NEC ME331X 3LCD Business Projector

The NEC ME331X is a 3LCD business projector delivering 3300 ANSI lumens and a native 1024x768 resolution. It supports HD video input up to 1080p and includes a powerful 20W built-in speaker for large rooms. Connectivity covers dual HDMI, VGA, USB, RJ-45 LAN and RS-232 control. It is designed for meeting rooms and classrooms needing bright, colour-accurate images with flexible installation options.

Replaces dimmer SVGA units or older portable models

The jump is worth it when you need 3300 lumens to overcome ambient light and a 12,000:1 contrast ratio for readable text. Dual HDMI inputs remove the need for external switchers when alternating between sources. The 1.7x zoom lens and automatic keystone correction allow placement flexibility that fixed-lens portables cannot match. ECO mode extends lamp life and reduces power draw for daily scheduled use.

Sustained brightness and thermal stability

ECO mode technology lowers lamp power and fan noise during extended presentations without sudden dimming. The 20W speaker maintains consistent volume for rooms up to 232 inches diagonal without external amplification. Wired LAN and optional wireless multi-presenter support up to 16 simultaneous devices for collaborative meetings. Filter-free LCD engine and sealed optical block resist dust buildup that degrades output over time.

Questions about this item

How far back can I mount the ME331X with its 1.7× zoom?

The 1.7× zoom lets you vary the throw distance significantly, giving installers more options when choosing a mounting location without moving the screen.

What is the keystone-correction step people forget?

Automatic keystone correction instantly squares the image at steep angles, but you must still enable cornerstone and pincushion in the menu for off-centre placement.

When does the NP43LP lamp need replacing?

ECO Mode extends lamp life and lowers power consumption; plan replacement when brightness drops noticeably or the lamp-hour counter approaches its rated limit.
