Monk Cables MC-C6-BC-BL Cat 6 Plenum 1000ft Green

Cat 6 Plenum cable for in-wall runs

This 1000 ft bulk Cat 6 cable uses 23 AWG solid bare copper conductors and a CMP-rated jacket for installation in plenum air spaces. It is built for contractors and IT teams wiring commercial ceilings or raised floors. The green jacket aids visual identification in dense cable trays. Home users needing only a few metres should choose a pre-terminated patch lead instead.

550 MHz bandwidth and 100 m channel limit

The cable is tested to 550 MHz and complies with ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-C.2, supporting 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to the standard 100 metre channel length. PoE and PoE+ devices drawing up to 60 W are also supported. Runs longer than 100 metres will require intermediate switches or fibre links, which this copper cable cannot replace.

23 AWG solid bare copper decides suitability

Each of the four twisted pairs uses a solid 23 AWG bare copper conductor separated by a spline to limit crosstalk. Solid conductors terminate reliably in punch-down panels and keystone jacks but are not suited for repeated flexing or patch-cord use. Buyers who need stranded conductors for movable connections must select a different cable type.
