Monoprice 102944 Dual Gold-Plated Banana Plugs Red

Dual Banana Plug Pair for Binding Posts

This pair of gold-plated banana plugs connects speaker cables to amplifiers or loudspeakers that use traditional binding posts. The dual yoke spaces the two plugs at the standard center-to-center distance so both terminals engage at once. Copper bodies with ferromanganese tips are plated in 24K gold to resist corrosion and maintain low-resistance contact over time.

Verify Binding Post Spacing and Wire Gauge

Before ordering, confirm that your equipment uses binding posts spaced to accept a dual plug with the standard center-to-center layout. The open-screw terminals accept bare wire, spades or other banana plugs in the 12 to 18 AWG range, so check that your speaker cable falls within that gauge window. Polarity rings are colour-coded red and black to help maintain correct phase.

Sustained Signal Integrity Through Corrosion

Under continuous use the gold plating prevents oxidation that would otherwise increase contact resistance and degrade signal transfer. The secure screw-down clamp keeps each conductor firmly seated even when cables are moved or vibration occurs. Copper construction and ferromanganese tips provide stable conductivity for long listening sessions without intermittent shorts or signal loss.
