Monoprice 102945 Dual Gold Plated Banana Plugs Black

Monoprice 102945 Dual Gold Plated Banana Plugs

These dual banana plugs simplify speaker connections for amplifiers or speakers that use traditional binding posts. They accept bare wire, spades or other banana plugs and suit 12 to 18 AWG speaker wire. Colour coded black and red rings maintain correct polarity during installation. The gold plated copper body with ferromanganese tips resists corrosion for reliable contact.

Sustained connection reliability

Gold plating on the copper body and ferromanganese tips prevents oxidation that would degrade signal quality over time. The open screw terminals clamp wire securely so strands cannot loosen under vibration or thermal cycling. Colour coded rings ensure polarity stays consistent after repeated reconnections. The black plastic yoke holds both plugs at the standard 3/4 inch spacing without strain on the binding posts.

Binding post compatibility limits

These plugs fit only equipment that uses traditional binding posts with the typical 3/4 inch centre to centre spacing. They cannot be used with spring clip terminals, proprietary connectors or devices where the post spacing differs from the standard distance. The 12 to 18 AWG wire range excludes thicker or thinner cables from achieving a secure mechanical grip. No other interface or connector type is supported by this design.
