Micro USB OTG adapter for Android

This Monoprice 109724 adapter adds USB On-The-Go support to compatible Android devices. It lets a phone or tablet act as a USB host so you can connect standard peripherals directly. The adapter uses the USB 2.0 specification for broad compatibility with keyboards, mice, flash drives and game controllers. It is a compact solution for expanding mobile device capabilities.

Users adding USB peripherals to a phone

This suits anyone wanting to type on a full keyboard, navigate with a mouse or load files from a USB stick onto their Android handset. Gamers can attach a wired controller for emulators without Bluetooth pairing. It is not for devices lacking OTG support or for users needing to connect USB-C peripherals directly. Buyers who require video output or simultaneous charging should look at a different adapter type.

USB 2.0 OTG host capability

The single specification that decides fit is USB On-The-Go support on the Android device itself. Without OTG support in the phone or tablet, the adapter cannot switch the port into host mode. When the device supports OTG, the adapter enables immediate use of USB 2.0 peripherals with no drivers required. Verify OTG compatibility in your device specifications before purchase.
