15.24m Cat6 cable for standard networking

This 15.24 metre Cat6 patch cable uses unshielded twisted pairs and pure bare copper conductors rated to 550MHz bandwidth. It is built for home or office links that run at gigabit speeds and need a dependable physical connection.

Flexboot RJ45 ends and gold contacts

The Flexboot moulding is thinner than a standard boot so the retaining clip depresses easily even in dense patch panels. Fifty-micron gold plating on the modular plugs resists corrosion and keeps signal loss low over repeated insertions.

Handles gigabit runs up to 550MHz

At 24AWG stranded construction the cable comfortably carries 1 Gigabit traffic across its full tested bandwidth. It is not shielded, so environments with strong electromagnetic interference may require a screened alternative.

Questions about this item

Will the 50 µm gold-plated RJ45 contacts need cleaning or replacement over time?

The 50 µm gold plating resists corrosion so the contacts do not require periodic cleaning or replacement under normal indoor use.

What limits throughput first on a 550 MHz Cat6 run at 15.24 m?

The cable is rated for 1 Gigabit speeds; the 550 MHz bandwidth and 24 AWG conductors support that rate across the full 15.24 m length.

Does the flexboot or UTP construction change heat or noise when the link runs all day?

The unshielded twisted-pair design and slim flexboot add no active components, so the cable produces no noise and negligible heat during continuous operation.
