In-wall speaker cable for commercial

This CMP-rated four-conductor wire is built for plenum air spaces in offices, schools and homes where fire codes require plenum-rated jacket material. Installers running speaker pairs through walls or ceiling plenums can use a single pull instead of two separate two-conductor runs.

16 AWG oxygen-free bare copper conductors

The cable uses 16 AWG pure bare copper for low resistance over long distances, and the four colour-coded conductors are contained inside one CMP-rated jacket that stays softer and more flexible than traditional plenum jackets.

Lifetime warranty and ready-to-pull convenience

Monoprice backs the wire with a lifetime warranty, and the single-jacket four-conductor design reduces labour by letting you pull one cable for a stereo pair rather than managing multiple spools.

Questions about this item

What does the 16AWG gauge mean for a typical home speaker run?

The 16AWG conductors provide low resistance for runs up to about 50 feet, keeping signal loss minimal for most stereo or surround speakers.

How does the CMP plenum rating affect where I can install this cable?

CMP rating means the jacket meets fire-safety codes for installation inside walls, ceilings and air-handling spaces in both homes and commercial buildings.

What is the outer diameter and will it fit through standard 16mm conduit?

The four-conductor plenum jacket is soft and flexible, typically measuring around 6–7 mm overall, so it pulls easily through 16 mm conduit and standard stud holes.
